Tenda Merah

Tenda Merah is a gender-inclusive ceremonial space rooted in ancestral wisdom and feminine knowledge. Inspired by the symbolism of ikat weaving and batik dyeing, the tent is made of carefully chosen textiles that carry stories, rituals, and embodied memory.
It invites rest, storytelling, and connection to cyclical living—centering menstruation, birthing, and shared care. In a world shaped by patriarchal rhythms, Tenda Merah offers a space of softness, reflection, and collective presence.
Project by Pieta Thuring & Olyve Dewi

I joined the project as an assistant in production and curation, supporting the creation and build-up of this sacred space. It was a process of deep listening, collaboration, and honoring the power of intentional environments. We have worked together in different enviroments and contexts.

This years theme: Sleep as Healing
In a world overshadowed by division, Art Motel explores the restorative power of sleep as a collective and individual ritual. Installations and performances create spaces of rest, introspection and connection—a counterbalance to polarization. Sleep as healing, as a gentle countermovement, where body and mind recover and come together in a shared experience of serenity.
